This semi-automatic carbine, an extension of our 9mm pistol series, features a 16.2″ stress-relieved carbine barrel with a 1 in 10″ RH twist, crafted for exceptional accuracy and extended range. With a manageable weight of 6.32 lbs and a total length of 34.5 inches, it offers an ideal balance of control and performance.
RELIABLE MECHANISM
At the heart of the 9R is the renowned roller-delayed blowback operating system, celebrated for its dependable and smooth operation. The semi-automatic action is modifiable for an NFA-registered auto sear pack. The bolt carrier is robustly built, featuring nitride heat-treatment, tungsten dead-blow weighting, and full-auto capability, ensuring sustained performance and uniformity.
DURABLE DESIGN
The rifle’s durable finish combines powder coating and Parkerizing, providing resistance to wear and corrosion. Its 4.5″ steel picatinny rail allows for easy mounting of optics, enhancing versatility in various shooting conditions. Bought the California version in September 2020. It has a Kydex fin grip. mounted a Holosun on the Picatinny rail. Got the Magpul ambi safety lever and changed the forend to the original HK smooth, wide grip. Although I retained the M-lok frond and mounted a Streamlight TLR RM2 to it for night matches. This gun has been amazing. It has been used in pistol caliber carbine class in USPSA, Steel Challenge and Action Pistol, over 80 matches in 4 years. It has seen over 16,000 rounds and just keeps running like a clock. No breakdowns. It is accurate, has minimal recoil or muzzle rise. A dream to shoot. Someone new always notices it and makes a favorable comment. If I lived in a “free state” I would buy the shorter barrel version in heartbeat for my home defense gun, especially with the Streamlight on it.
