Description
CLASSIC MEETS MODERN
The GI Rifle stands as a masterpiece of craftsmanship in our .308 lineup. It integrates a robust roller-delayed blowback system with a heat-treated, fully automatic bolt carrier. This design guarantees consistent reliability across diverse conditions. The semi-automatic configuration is ready for NFA-registered auto sear packs, offering adaptability for various user preferences.
PRECISION ENGINEERING
The rifle’s heart is an 18″ stress-relieved, tapered contour barrel, expertly threaded at 5/8″ x 24. This threading supports a broad range of accessories and suppressors, enhancing its versatility. A 1 in 10″ RH twist bolsters the rifle’s accuracy, while the overall Parkerized finish gives it a distinctive military look and reinforces its durability.
DESIGNED FOR EXCELLENCE
A traditional claw mount anchors your optics, while the slim-line polymer handguard and a 9-10 lbs trigger pull fuse functionality with comfort. It’s equipped with a 20-round aluminum magazine for extended use, measuring 40.5″ in length and weighing 9.5 lbs when unloaded — a perfect balance of size and manageability.
AESTHETIC APPEAL
Sporting a classic black color with green furniture, this rifle’s appearance is both striking and unique. The surplus green furniture may show character marks, adding to its charm. Each unit is shipped in a protective cardboard case, complete with a magazine and cable lock for safety.

I’ve owned this gi model and several heavy barrel variants over the years, Starting back with the original company “JLD Enterprises”. Every rifle has done nothing but impress me. Having worked in the industry for over a decade after being a armorer for the USMC, it’s hard to impress me.. The accuracy is unbelievable, more accurate than the original hk-91 I had. I just Really Wish the two heavy barrel options were offered again, 16” and 18”. I’ve had both from previous companies and they were fantastic, but current ownership has gone above and beyond with the more modern features. A 18” heavy barrel 308 offered in “FR” and “psg-1” style configuration would be amazing. I’ve rang 12” steel easily with iron sights and 300-450 yards!

Outstanding rifle. The iron sights and free float barrel on this rifle are so good that I can easily hit a man-sized steel silhouette at 550yds. I did swap in a Bill Springfield buffer for a softer recoil impulse and am going to try the RCM #17 locking piece next. This rifle has been 100% reliable after 500 rounds. I only wish PTR would offer their other rifles without the permanently welded optics rail like this GI model to satisfy the clone market.
